There already a few schools in the country where Laptops have been introduced/allowed in a phased manner. However, the primary requirement for the laptops to be useful would be the content. And Connectivity. While most schools in the metros would be prime candidates for this – there is the additional question of ‘mindset’ that we all live thru. Unless the ‘need’ for laptops is clearly understood and accepted – there would not be too many takers for this. If you wish to offer laptops – you would also need to ensure that ‘unparalleled content’ should also be made available for schools to start seriously considering this as an option.
