Bloodworth, Dr. Brian Mumma This Adolescent Life project, “Are Inclusion Students Really Included”, explores the opinions and beliefs of middle school, high school, and college students about the inclusion of special needs students. There is an emphasis being placed on equality in schools for all students, regardless of a disability. Because of this, more students with disabilities are placed in the regular education classroom. There is no question as to the increasing effort schools are putting into equipping the classroom to meet the needs of these students, but are the schools succeeding? Throughout the project, the students without disabilities believed that students with disabilities were welcomed and most of their needs were being met. However, the students with disabilities stated that they did not feel welcomed and there were many needs that were not being met.
