Are ignorant people louder?
That is the way it seems to me. Let me clarify. When I say ignorant, I mean those who are not aware of their ignorance. Maybe you can throw in narrow minded people too, anyone who thinks that an argument is made more convinicing or a story made more interesting by speaking at the top of your voice. Don’t bother accusing me of snobbishness. I readily concede. Life is too short to have to put up with the stubbornly ignorant and the closed minded. I read somewhere that people in power tend to speak softly to force people to pay close attention, like Marlon Brando’s character in the Godfather films.
