Are hyacinth bulbs dangerous to cats?
Most bulbs are poisonous if eaten. I’m not sure about hyacinth bulbs but if a cat has eaten one then be sure to keep a close watch on it. Here is a partial list of poisonous plants: Caladiums Dieffenbachia (Dumb cane) Euphorbia pulcherrima (Poinesettia) Hedera (Ivy) Mistletoe Oleander Philodendron Prunus laurocerasus (cherry laurel) Rhododendron (azalea) Solanum capiscastrum (Winter cherry) If you plant cat friendly plants they will be able to roll, dig, and eat them instead of your other plants. Here are some cat friendly plants: Catnip, Thyme, Sage, Parsley, Chickweed, Lawn grass, Colt’s foot grass, Cereal grass such as wheat or oats. I hope this helps.
