Are HSPICE models available?

0

HSPICE models are analog models that contain more information than the IBIS models. In general, although IBIS modeling yields results that are accurate enough at slower speeds and simple topologies, it is often useful with 200MHz bus or a multi-drop bus, to use a more accurate modeling technology. The HSPICE models are recommended with: 1. 200MHz bus clock, or 2. When the wiring is not point-to-point, or 3. When the topology is difficult, or 4. When the timing budget is very tight. IBM is developing an HSPICE model of the 750GX bus interface. As of September 2004, IBM is beta testing this model.
