Are HP inkjet and LaserJet Cartridges designed to prevent refilling?
HP Print Cartridges are intended for single use but are not designed to prevent re-use or refilling. They are, however, designed to operate with HP inkjet and LaserJet Printers as an integrated system to meet customers’ performance, quality and reliability requirements. Output quality and consistency may suffer if their use is extended beyond the design lifetime. Gartner Group tests show that overall satisfaction ratings for refilled and remanufactured cartridges are significantly lower than for original cartridges.
