Are honda civics economical?

Of course there economical. The 89-91, 92-95, amd 96-00 Honda Civic’s have the best MPG. It either had the D15 or D16 engine and it lasted a long way also. The insurance is pretty cheap since the car is older and since it’s a Honda most insurance companies consider them reliable and safe cars. It takes almost nothing to maintain them. As long as you change your oil every 3k miles and change your timing belt at 100k and keep with up with maintenance the engine should last you up to 250k-300k miles. Even if the engine fails on you a used engine with low miles iis dirt cheap and you can pick one up for less than $600. My dad has a 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback (manual) and he’s had it for years. After an engine/tranny swap it’s still running today. He gets good gas mileage and only spends $20 bucks on gas weekly or sometimes longer.
