Are Holeys dangerous on escalators?
A number of things can get caught in escalators such as shoelaces, long jeans, and long hair. More recently, a child’s foot was caught in an escalator while wearing Crocs. Officials say when the teeth at the bottom of an escalator are broken, they create larger gaps and can put kids at greater risk of getting caught. Officials recommend that parents should always exercise caution with their younger children on any escalator, regardless of what they are wearing. It is recommended to pick children up when going onto an escalator or getting off.
