Are hippos dangerous & aggressive animals?
River hippos are extremely aggressive and dangerous. They kill more people per year in Africa than all other animals (non reptile or insect) combined. They are known to trample people and attack boats. The main problem is their size, teeth and strength. A single tusk could slice through a full grown man like it was butter and they can kill you with just one blow of the head. Not to mention they can be underwater and you will not know it, they will rise up and knock over boats and kill people.
