For one thing, the HID conversion kits that are offered today allow you to use headlights that are much more efficient than the halogen lights we often see. Instead of using filaments incased in quartz that is filled with halogen gases, HID conversion kits, including HID xenon conversion kits, use gases that react to the electricity that is pulled into them in order to produce an arc. The arc produced by the HID conversion kit is three to five times brighter than the halogen lights that you normally use. What’s better is that it uses less energy than the halogen lights and it lasts a lot longer, if the HID kit used is installed correctly
