Are herbal cigarettes safe to use during pregnancy?
I quit smoking the same day I found out I was pregnant. It was one thing to abuse my body, but to abuse the body of my child was something else entirely. I haven’t touched a cigarette since that day and my son is four and a half years old now. My husband quit the same way and he had been smoking for many years longer then myself. Now my mother had three of us and she smoked through all of her pregnancy’s. I’m not even sure she tried to quit. I have held onto a lot of anger about that. I feel like if she really loved us, it should have been enough to make her quit. I can’t really think of any substance out there that could make it easier for her to quit smoking. Sure, it’s a habit…but it has to be mostly addiction because habits are easier to break. There are plenty of prescription drugs and such, but without talking to a doctor, I’m not sure that they would be any better for the baby.
