Are Healthwise Products Lactose free?
Answer Many Nutritional Resources Inc. products contain milk protein and milk protein fractions including whey, milk protein isolates, and calcium caseinate. These protein sources contain small amounts of lactose and as a result the products which contain these protein sources can not be listed a lactose free. The amount of lactose is less than 0.5 g. Individuals with medical conditions that make them sensitive to the presence of lactose should understand that lactose is present but that the amount of lactose is so small that the products are frequently well tolerated even by sensitive individuals.
