Harsh Interrogation Has Saved American Lives The debate on harsh interrogation and water boarding needs to look at several issues. Is it harsh interrogation or is it torture? Did the interrogations save American lives? Is the releasing of classified information damaging to America’s safety? Is this politically motivated and pushed by George Soros and the radical left including MoveOn.org? The first question is the hardest to answer. What one person considers harsh another can consider torture. That is part of being human. Some people think water boarding is torture. Many think it is a form of interrogation to get life-saving Intel. Let’s look a little deeper though. Was anyone hurt? Were there adequate safety precautions? None of the terrorist received any physical injuries. There were medical personnel there every time harsh interrogations were used. Psychological injury while not as easy to disregard can be shown to be at the most negligible. None of the terrorists have complained of
