Are guide/hearing/disability/polic… dogs spayed/neutered?

0

In the UK, Guide Dogs for the Blind mainly breed all their own dogs, from selected breeding stock. These dogs are not used as guide dogs themselves. The dogs that are oout working are neutered. Occasionally they may accept a “gifted ” puppy from specialist breeders, but rarely. Service dogs are sometimes neutered, but not all. The Police also prefer to breed their own or acquire from special breeders. Military dogs are neutered and are usually gifted and retrained. # ADDED: Hearing dogs for the deaf are usually taken from rescue centres like Battersea.
