Are Greens events environmentally friendly or something? What’s with the name?

No, Greens events are not necessarily environmentally friendly, though we all try to do our part. They are not related to a political movement, either. The name originated when we used to hold a table occasionally in the Greenhouse at Beard House events for younger members, a sort of “kids table.” We called those folks the Greens because they were in the Greenhouse, because they were young, and because we liked the culinary resonance. Those days are gone, but the name remains.
