In the past, it has not been about the architect’s ability to create a sustainable building; it was whether the client wanted to put more effort into designing a building that would not be harmful to the environment. Green development can be an endeavor, especially if you’re not savvy in the realm of green technologies. To create a sustainable building, it’s fundamental to consider the environment that you’re building on. Given that every site is different and should be made to work with its surroundings, there’s not one completely “right” way to do a sustainable project.
