If the grantee is in India on Research visa then ‘he/she’ is required to complete the project and send a narrative report to USIEF for onward submission to the Government of India (GOI) for closing the file. If the report is not sent to the GOI there can be problems in obtaining clearance/visa authorizations for any future projects.
