The two companies agreed to a deal last year which involved including the Google Toolbar with all new Dell computers. With the toolbar installed, the default search engine in Internet Explorer 7 is set to Google. This benefits both companies as a Google search results page specifically tailored for Dell is presented to the user, with both of them sharing in the advertising revenue.
