Are Gold Circle Farms eggs cage free?
Gold Circle Farms currently sells both cage free and non-cage free eggs. Our Cage Free carton (with a red label), contains eggs from flocks that are never caged. They are allowed to roam free in a large barn, which protects them from predators, provides shelter from the environment and allows us to control their diet. Within each barn is a central house where the hens can come and go freely to lay their eggs. Gold Circle Farms eggs with a purple label are United Egg Producer Certified. This program promotes humane treatment of hens in caged environments. Ranches must comply with the standards set by these organizations with respect to treatment, cage densities, fresh air and cleanliness before being approved.
