GLAD Trash Bags are made from polyethylene. This substance is 100% recyclable, and nearly all of the scrap generated in a film plant is reclaimed in this way. However, the cost of collecting and cleaning these bags after they have been used is prohibitive, so we don’t have any post-consumer-use reclamation and recycling program in place at this time.
