Are girls raised in traditional female roles more likely to become victims of domestic abuse?
We all raise our children differently. Some of us still raise our daughters in the traditional female roles while others teach their daughters to be more independent. Girls raised in traditional roles may be more likely to become victims of domestic abuse. There are several reasons for this. Girls who are raised to be more independent have higher self-esteem than those who aren’t taught that they should take care of themselves before worrying about raising a family. That means that they are less likely to worry about whether a man is in their life or not. They won’t worry about how they will make it if the man turns into an abuser. They will simply leave him. That isn’t always the case with those girls who are raised in traditional female roles.
