Are GE Reverse Osmosis Water Filters the Answer to My Tap Water Problems?
Water purifiers are incredibly common these days, and GE reverse osmosis water filtering systems are among the most popular. Having been at the top of the reverse osmosis industry for years, there is no doubt that these systems were the best water treatment money could buy. The question now, however, is whether this is still the case, or whether these products have run their course. GE reverse osmosis filters operate by passing water through a semi-permeable membrane that filters out any particles larger than a water molecule. This gets rid of contaminants such as lead and rust. What it does not do, however, is remove chemicals and pharmaceutical drugs. In order to remove these things, systems must use a second filter, typically a carbon block filter, to remove these smaller particles.
