It is correct that you do need GCSE’s to get on the medicine course at this university…I have just had a look at the entry requirements. There is a chance that they may let you on the course even though you haven’t met the GCSE requirements, but this would be based on your A-level results and what else you have to offer (But the volunteer programme is a good start). If the course is popular though, they may accept somebody over you who does meet all the entry requirements needed. My advice is not to worry about it for now…focus on getting experience and your grades and then you can apply to the course at the time. Remember if you can’t get onto this course, there are other universities as a second option…as long as you get to do what you want you will be fine, just don’t give up whatever it takes.
