Are garment bags really necessary?
If it’s all about casual relaxation, then a regular suitcase will do just fine. But if there will be, say, formal dinners involved, you’ll want to avoid looking like you just rolled out of the suitcase by carefully packing dresses and suits in an appropriate garment bag. ~ Keep necessities close. If you’re flying pack a carry-on with basic essentials—you’ll want to be able to function even if your luggage is delayed. And check in advance what size/types of carry-ons the airline allows.
