Several organizations offer professional funding opportunities and awards to faculty and departments that implement service learning initiatives. Many individual institutions and departments offer funding and campus-wide recognition to faculty who conduct and sustain service learning courses. For example, a university may offer course development stipends or honorarium or reduce course load for conducting the course.
