At a farmers’ market the produce generally has just come from the field to the farmers’ market, so it’s generally fresher than anything you’ll find at Sam’s Club or any other market. Considering that you get BETTER produce at the farmer’s market it’s usually worthwhile to purchase your produce there. I notice that the prices sometimes are LESS than at the chain markets. Unfortunately the farmers’ markets aren’t on our schedule so you’ll have to make your decision when to buy to have your platter fresh when it’s called for..
