Are freshmen Jay Canty, Jordan Latham, Justin Martin and Griffin McKenzie eligible for the seasons start?
(Martin’s) not at this point. Justin is still – as crazy as it sounds – in the process of being reviewed by the NCAA Eligibility Center. We submitted on our end virtually everything we needed to in order for them to render a decision. They’ve allowed him to practice until a decision has been made and we’re really hopeful, I would think, that we’ll find out something (soon) pertaining to his eligibility. Q: What’s the hold-up? A: Their concern is a couple of core classes that he took in the summer at Lawrence North. (Martin played three years at Lawrence North in Indiana and finished his prep career at Mountain State Academy in West Virginia.) Both schools are sort of being reviewed. I don’t want to go too in depth because it’s Justin’s academic background, not mine.
