Are fossil fuels a finite source of hydrocarbons?
Consider please that the USA and Canada are sitting on a huge (repeat HUGE) source of tar sands that make the reserves of the Arab countries look sick, and that we have coal reserves that will last well over 200 years (conservative estimate). When their oil runs out, they are done. They will have to take their multitrillion dollars of banking and do something with it to earn money. Like take us over! Fossil fuels are the most convenient source of energy and sources of hydrocarbon based plastics and petrochemicals. Germany ran most of the second world war on coal based sources of gas and petrochemicals. It can be done.
