Under Land Law companies and foreign nationals may own land in special designated tourism complexes. Other GCC nationals, companies fully owned by Omanis or General Joint Stock Companies with majority Omani share holdings are allowed to own land any where under certain conditions. Royal Decree 12/ 2006 allows non Omanis to own real estate in Oman within specified integrated tourism complexes.
