Are Ford Trucks Better Than Chevy Trucks?
I have driven GM trucks my entire life. I also have ford trucks that are driven by my employees. The GMC truck that I currently drive has 270000 miles on it. It had a transmission replaced at 213000 miles. Replaced fuel pump at 195000 miles. The truck currently has the third set of tires on it. The first two sets lasted 107000 and 96000 respectively. The third set of tires has 58000 miles on them and look to be able to go at lest 90000 plus miles. This truck still has the original water pump, A/C pump, Altenator, Radiator, engine, wheel bearings, differintial, and power steering pump. This truck has a 6.0 liter motor and has gotten 15.3 mpg for the life of the vehicle. On a Ford truck that was bought at the same time it has left the people driving stranded on the highway. One one of the strandings Ford would not pay for the tow even through it was a warrenty item. We were broke down too far from a ford dealer. We had to pay the tow.
