Are food storage containers from China safe?

Since food storage containers from China do not have large amounts of the chemical, they are deemed safe. However, the US Department of Health and Human Services advises to avoid heating food or liquid in these containers as small amounts of BPA can be transferred.Bottom LineFood storage containers from China are generally safe as they do not contain large amounts of BPA. To minimize exposure to BPA, food and liquid should not be heated in these containers.
