Are foldaway pool tables any good?
A folding pool table is really just a toy for kids but I would never detour anyone from playing on one if that’s all they could afford or all they have room for. The table simply won’t stand up to the wear and tear of an authentic pool table. If you have the means and space for a slate pool table, remember that you need a minimum of 5′ of clear space on each side of the table. That will give you room to maneuver around the table and get a decent stroke if the cue ball is up against a rail. The table sizes available are 3 1/2′ x 7′, 4′ x 8′, and 4 1/2′ x 9′. I hope that helps. You should be able to find something to suite your needs on craigslist.org. By the way, you can go to http://www.poolplayers.com/Locator/defau… and type in your zip code to see if there is an APA Pool League in your area.
