Are flashcards only used as a method for memorizing facts?
• No. Flashcards are an efficient delivery method for all types of thought processes and higher critical thinking. • They are used to sort subject matter that is mastered from that which is not. Students eliminate the flashcards as they master the information they contain. • Some facts must be memorized and flashcards work well for this. They also work for all levels of problem solving and abstract thinking. • Daily writing assignments and other activities will augment the use of flashcards.
