Are Firefly phones safe to use around pacemakers and hearing aids?
In regard to pacemakers, Firefly phones meet or exceed all FCC and FDA guidelines for product safety. To date, there have been a lot of studies on wireless phone safety, and none of them have shown any health risks associated with using wireless phones. Wireless phones don’t interfere with pacemakers at all. As for hearing aids, the Firefly phone has an “M1” rating. There may be a low buzzing sound on some models when the Firefly phone — or any other wireless phone — is in use. For the hearing aid user, that tends to be more of an annoyance than a safety issue.
