Are filming permits or fees required?
Most locations such as public parks and streets will require an application to film and will charge a standard fee to issue a permit. In addition, you may also require permits from State Government authorities, depending on what your shoot involves. Most requests are fairly routine, but it’s important to allow enough time and to know who to contact. Not having this information can cause unnecessary delays which will ultimately cost you money and be frustrating. Some areas are very keen to encourage filming and will waive fees. Ask your production facilitator who can then consult with the FTO.
