Fetal DNA and fetal Cells are two unique sources of DNA. In fact, it is rare to uncover fetal cells in the maternal blood. What is even more, it would be extremely difficult to extract these cells for our testing purposes. For this reason, our Laboratory uses fetal DNA (cell-free DNA).
