Are female dogs more aggressive/dominant than male dogs?

most of the time you will have a more dominant female than male. I have 7 dogs and the most dominant out of all of them is one of my female Italian Mastiffs.

A lot of times they are, but it is much easier to train a female to not be as aggressive then to teach a male dog. And females get along easier with all other dogs. A lot of male dogs can’t be around other males or they will fight.

Well in my own expirience, i had a mongrel he was a male and wasnt that protective. although i loved him really much and still do, R.I.P sammy. =( and then i have now a female 8 month old stafordshire bull terrier x american pitbull terrier, she is VERY protective. and yeah as some people do say females are more aggressive aswell but my pup isnt aggressive at all.

It depends on the dog’s temperament, breed, and how it is handled, but yes, in many instances, that is true. Contrary to popular belief, spayed females are usually more aggressive toward other dogs than unspayed females or male dogs.

In my experience, the females are always dominant over the males. They also tend to be more aggressive to other dogs and to humans. The few really handler aggressive dogs I have known, the kind that try to assert dominance over the handler, were are always males.
