Are family matters heard in all Supreme Court centres?
Family matters are heard in all court centres except in St. John’s Trial Division. Family matters arising in the St. John’s metropolitan area and along the east coast as far north as Terra Nova Park (including the Bonavista Peninsula) are heard in the Unified Family Court on King’s Bridge Road in St. John’s. The Unified Family Court was established under the Unified Family Court Act.
