Are Extroverts Happier Than Introverts?
Not necessarily. Extraverts just “draw their energy” from other things than what introverts do. Drawing your energy from something is not necessarily good or bad either. It’s just who you are and how you go about life.
Extraverts will feel like they need to get out and do things around other people, because that is where they are at their happiest. They will be around people as much as possible and staying at home to read a book will not be their activity of choice. Extraverts also have a tendency to try and make friends with everyone, because for them it is very exciting to get to know more people.
Introverts draw their energy from something else. They are more likely to sit at home under the covers to read a book, than go out into the world. This doesn’t mean they are recluse or shy, it just means they aren’t people who go out and about on a whim. Introverts usually enjoy getting to know a few people better, rather than knowing many people but only to a certain extent.
All in all both are equally happy in theory, but measuring happiness is much more complicated than whether you are an Introvert/ Extravert.
