Are extension ladders the right choice?
Sometimes you need extension ladders to reach things that are high up, and far beyond the reach of an ordinary stepladder. Extension ladders get you up to the roof, a high window, or a chimney, so you can paint, clean, repair, and do any number of similar important jobs. There are many situations where extension ladders can seem like the right choice, but there is other equipment that will work even better for getting the job done. Furthermore, although extension ladders can get you to the height you need to reach, they are often incredibly unwieldy, heavy and awkward to transport and difficult to store.
