“Test tubes made of polypropylene (e.g. Eppendorf micro test tubes) are resistant to octane, decane and dodecane over several weeks at T = 20 °C. This information is a recommendation from the chemical resistance summary by Bodo Carlowitz entitled “Kunststoff-Tabellen” [Plastic Tables] (see benzene, 100 %). As we have not checked this information, we are not able to guarantee its correctness. If in doubt, please perform test measurements. We would be pleased to send you samples for the purpose.
