Are elephants really afraid of mice or is it a myth?

0

The Mythbuster episode did show that an elephant will notice a mouse, and avoid stepping on it. However, they did not demonstrate that this response would not also have been the same if the small animal were a cat, snake, beaver or frog, so they didn’t actually prove if elephants and mice have a special bond. All they proved was that elephants are smart enough to know a live mouse from a dead ball of dung.
