Are electronic stuff any cheaper in CHINA?
Things made in China are much cheaper in China. International brand things differ. Sony uses international pricing so that the price is the same everywhere, IBM is cheaper in mainland China (because it is owned by Lenovo). A lot of imported things are more expensive. If you want to buy cheap electronic goods, make sure you schedule a stop over in Hong Kong, where there is no tax. When you shop in China avoid the big department stores and head to the electronics markets. Though there is a chance of them cheating you as you are a foriegner, there is usually no problem if you are buying the more expensive items like camers, laptops and phones. Also you can buy various copy products, including copy iPhones for 30 Euros and complete fake apple products that look like a normal boring phone with the apply symbol on the back.
