Are electronic components toxic?

0

Some electronic components are toxic. Lean, arsenic, cadmium and other nasty stuff are in some components. But your question goes beyond this. It addresses not just the toxic substances that may be in electronics, it also addresses the larger problem of waste in the production stream. Companies do everything they can to minimize their cost of making something. In many ways this passes part of the cost a product on to the consumer. The disposal of packaging and other issues are left to society as a whole. I have no idea of how to change this.
