Are electro static filters effective?
A. The washable electrostatic filters are very effective of removing even the smallest debris from the air stream but require frequent and thorough cleaning. They should be cleaned faithfully every three to four weeks. Rheem units come with a washable permanent factory filter that is suitable for most needs. If you need more filtration, an electronic air cleaner would be the solution.
