Are Electric Skateboards Safe?
If used properly with a helmet and protective gear, electric skateboards are as safe as almost any sport. The boards are well made and reliable under normal use. But they are also an ‘extreme’ product. They’re designed for skaters, surfers and snowboarders who want an urban ride. They need balance and safety gear to use (helmet, knee and elbow pads and gloves are important to help assure safety of the rider). They are easier to ride than just about any other skateboard or longboard because they are very stable & don’t required you to push.
