Are e-mail messages relevant to the licensing proceeding for Yucca Mountain required to be included in the LSN?
A. Yes. E-mail messages and attachments relevant to licensing activities must be included in the LSN. E-mail messages that contain any potentially privileged information, including privacy protected information or information that is sensitive unclassified, must be submitted to CACI with the notation that they are relevant and privileged. This category of e-mail messages and attachments will not be made publicly available. OCRWM has developed computer-based training for identifying potentially relevant e-mails. While it is specific to OCRWM employees and contractors, it does provide guidance useful to employees of other organizations affected by LSN requirements. Click here (and then click “open”) to access the training. The LSN E-mail Categorization Matrix is also a useful reference.
