It just can. DS games are for both the original ds and the ds lite. The difference is if you play the games on the ds lite the games are lighter and brighter (hence the name ds lite). Anyway you don’t get games especially for the original ds or ds lite, there both the same it’ll just say Nintendo ds on the spine and side on the game case and it works for both.
