Are drilled/slotted rotors really better than regular ones?

For normal application, you will do just fine with your original equipment rotors. The drilled and slotted ones are for extreme application. If you drive at 100 mph plus and need to slow down real fast like on a race course these will provide less fade as the heat increases. You will also need to upgrade to ceramic brake pads if you intend to drive like a race car driver. For every day use, you do not need to consider these upgrades.
