Are dreams or nightmares considered supernatural?

I consider dreams supernatural, and occuring to a degree in the spiritual realm. Some people may think of dreams as being able to be understood by a scientific approach alone. But I don’t see how one can discount the spiritual side of life, and how this is connected to our inner being or spirit, when it comes to dreams. I believe that the spirit can leave the body in part and go into the spiritual realm, and still leave a part of it with the body. This is how it feels to me when I am dreaming. I think we tend to play out scenarios in the spiritual realm though dreams, that mirrors what is happening in our waking lives in the material realm. I believe we have invisible spiritual connections of various degrees of strength to other people and the environment. I believe that when we connect with people, we leave a part of ourself with that person, which can later set up a dream experience.
